About Me

Hello! I’m Omer Farooq, a Cybersecurity Analyst based in the United States. I graduated in Cybersecurity from California State University Long Beach, and hold several industry certifications, including ISC2 CC, A+ Core 1, and Security+. Throughout my career, I have provided my services to various organizations, ranging from Riverstreams (AT&T) to the healthcare industry. My experience has equipped me with a solid understanding of Microsoft Security, Digital Forensics, Threat Hunting, Linux Security, Cyber Infrastructure and Technology, and Introduction to Python for Security. During my studies, I built environments from the ground up, configuring and testing them for various purposes. For instance, in my Digital Forensics and Incident Response (DFIR) projects, I utilized tools such as Autopsy for analysis, conducted memory captures, deployed Splunk, and configured systems across both Linux and Windows operating systems.
